Driving Digital Quality
Description

This session discusses the lessons learned from moving quality measurement to a cloud platform, including setting up a platform for digital performance measurement, managing external data flows and internal architecture considerations for both handling and containerized computing and optimizing a reporting program using a cloud platform.

Presenters will discuss the NCQA Digital Content Services approach to HEDIS measurement through the Early Adopter Program. There will be a brief overview of containerized computing, practical considerations and choices in using embedded Clinical Quality Language (CQL).

Meeting requirements of HEDIS reporting workflows, in and out of containerized CQL measures, will also be discussed, as will technical and operational considerations for payers such as data synchronization and incorporating administrative and supplemental clinical data potentially received via FHIR® APIs from multiple sources.

Three employees of 1upHealth will present: Don Rucker, MD, Chief Strategy Officer and former National Coordinator for Health IT, will discuss data requirements at multiple points of the measurement program. A second will talk about the specifics of the measurement process and pipeline. Kyle Brew will provide details on platform architecture, and on installing and managing the NCQA container.
