Graduated from University of Nebraska Medical Center and then attended Fort Collins Family Medicine Residency Program and have been Board Certified in Family Medicine. After practicing family medicine for 2 years, I pursued my interest in Emergency Medicine and spent most of my 30-year clinical career working in community-based hospital emergency departments. I then served as CMO for 2 of our local hospitals in Omaha, NE prior to transitioning to my current role as Chief Medical Officer for Nebraska Total Care almost 2 years ago. My passion for medicine has always been centered around preventative strategies with diet, exercise, and healthy relationships. My years of experience in the emergency department helped me to realize the great need in the Medicaid population for improved coordination of health care and access. I look forward to working with our state partners in continuing to further improve the health of our population in Nebraska.
