Dr. Verbik is the Medical Services Director for the Division of Medicaid and Long-Term Care at Nebraska DHHS since June 2020. From 2011 to 2020, she served as a Medical Director for Medicare Advantage and Commercial lines of business. Prior to this, she practiced Family Medicine for 13 years in rural Iowa, from 1998 to 2011. She was Director of Medical Management for the Critical Access Hospital and its clinics, and was responsible for quality, medical staff and patient service teams. From 1996 to 1998, Dr. Verbik served as Assistant Program Director for an 18 physician Family Medicine Residency Program at Beverly Hospital in Massachusetts. Dr. Verbik completed her residency at Clarkson Family Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska in 1996.
