Description

This session will elucidate the role and function of interoperability standards in the digital quality ecosystem and how they enable provision of meaningful quality assessment information where and when it is most helpful.  The use of interoperability standards for digital quality measure specifications circumvents the major barrier faced in traditional quality reporting programs where quality knowledge is limited to what humans could manually extract and interpret from a sample of real-world data (RWD).

This new digital quality paradigm highlights what matters most to patients and providers through the automation of the many complex processes required to generate quality knowledge while simultaneously applying more rigorous validation protocols thus improving the accuracy, reliability and trustworthiness of the information generated.
