Description

50% of U.S. adults have a musculoskeletal (MSK) condition and nearly 20% of all health care visits are related to MSK condition, but physical therapy is often only recommended downstream in the care journey because front-line providers are often underequipped to manage MSK conditions, leading to costly delays and referrals to higher-cost resources.

Digital physical therapy solutions have grown, taking on many forms—from TelePT, virtual rehabilitation programs and hybrid in-clinic/virtual concepts—and are uniquely positioned to help bring physical therapy to front-line providers, such as primary care, increasing access to timely and effective intervention.

This session will explore different digital physical therapy solutions, and will look at how moving physical therapy up the care continuum to primary care can ensure that patients receive the right care at the right time in their recovery journey, improving outcomes and increasing patient satisfaction while lowering downstream costs through more efficient and effective care delivery.
